You'll be able to officially join the Stanford Parents' Club once your student has accepted admission and been registered in the Stanford database, which occurs in mid-May. New Student Orientation
Tuesday, September 16, 2025
Stanford invites parents and families to kick off New Student Orientation (NSO) on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The day begins with New Student Move-In during the morning, followed by Community Welcomes and Open Houses throughout the afternoon. In the late afternoon, President Levin will officially welcome new students and their families at the Opening Convocation Ceremony. Following Convocation, students and their families traditionally say their goodbyes.

Successful 2024!
2024 Career Closet Giveaway is in the books! This year’s event was held on Friday, November 8. For the first time, we were able to offer exclusive shopping hours for students with the greatest need before opening up the event to all students. We gave away over 1400 items of clothing to 360 students in all. Read more on our Career Closet page.

This fun tradition started in the 1970s when David Packard donated apricots to the club, and we’ve been jammin’ ever since. Apricot Jam Sale
We have only 60 jars left of our famous Apricot Jam. To purchase, please contact ****. Pick up at a <local house>.
History: In the 1970s, David Packard donated apricots from his orchard to the club for making jam, which was sold to support the club's scholarship fund. A provision in his will continues to grant the Stanford Parents' Club at least four lugs of apricots each summer. In 1994, David Packard approached the Club to see if they could also make jam from his apricots. The apricot jam is sold to members.

May - September 2025
🧭 What it is: A transition process for all new undergraduates (frosh and transfers) as they prepare for Stanford.
🗓️ Timeline: Begins in May, continues through summer, and culminates in New Student Orientation (NSO) in September.
📝 Requirements: Students must complete summer tasks, like health forms, housing applications, and course preferences.
🛎️ NSO: A mandatory weeklong event starting with Move-In Day on Tuesday, September 16, when students officially enroll in courses.
📘 Resources: The Approaching Stanford Handbook offers detailed info on policies, academics, and campus life for students and families.
📬 Parents/guardians are added to the Stanford email list based on the contact information their student provides in the Approaching Stanford Forms.

The Stanford Parents’ Club is a worldwide community of Stanford families with 10,000 members from 50 countries. All Stanford parents and guardians are welcome to join the club. Membership is free of charge.

At the Stanford Parents' Club, we believe in the power of community and connection. Our recent Dish Walk brought members together for a delightful experience on a scenic four-mile loop, where laughter and stories flowed as freely as the fresh air around us.

2024 Career Closet Giveaway is in the books! This year’s event was held on Friday, November 8. For the first time, we were able to offer exclusive shopping hours for students with the greatest need before opening up the event to all students. We gave away over 1400 items of clothing to 360 students in all. Read more on our Career Closet page.
Big Game View Party

The Cardinal spirit was alive and well at our Stanford Parents' Club watch party for the 127th Big Game! It was a wonderful afternoon spent reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, all while cheering on our team. The clouds cleared just enough for us to enjoy the game in great company, making it a memorable experience for all.
Thanskgiving Hosts
November 27, 2024
This Thanksgiving, over 50 students were warmly welcomed by 12 generous host families for a festive meal. Students shared their gratitude for the sense of connection and care, while hosts cherished the opportunity to create lasting memories. Thank you to all for making this program such a heartwarming success!
